weekend wishlist #016

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

1. I mentioned in a post a while ago that I was thinking of getting a cake stand to display/hold all my jewellery on and send back as the birdcage I ordered was a LOT smaller than expected (not sure what I was expecting to be honest, should have read the description!). Urban Outfitters and a few other sites have this too but the prices are all pretty different! The cheapest ones are on eBay, just a heads up!

2. A simple black blazer has been something I have been on the hunt for since what feels like the beginning of time. I have a jersey one from Primark, but the sleeves when you turn them up are light grey so it doesn't go with everything! This one looks good but at £55 it isn't cheap! Do you have a holy grail blazer you can recommend? Which sort of shape would look best with my body shape? Just looking for some ideas..

3. I was actually going to order these in a minute after seeing these on Robyn's blog yesterday, but now they're sold out (in my size anyway)! A bit of a bummer, but it's probably for the best. I'd get the grey but I really liked the gold detailing on the black ones! Boo hiss. I do seriously have way too many shoes though, maybe I could try and photograph them all for a post one day?

4. Since I've been getting new stuff for my room my visits to the Cath Kidston online store have been at an all-time high! I really want some underbed storage (is it pointless though as you won't really see it?) and I have wanted a floral radio forever but they are just so expensive! A nice new make-up bag would look so nice on my dresser though, so I probably won't be able to resist!

5&6. Just thought I'd let everyone know.. Clinique at Debenhams are currently running a mascara swap till the end of January - just take your old mascara (or buy a cheap one if you must!) and you can choose from either High Impact or High Lengths. I used to use HI I think, but I'm going to try and see if I can do it on different days or something! Have fun!

  1. I love that blazer! I recently bought one from New Look which is a kind of waterfall style one in navy blue with 3/4 ruched sleeves and it comes in different colours and I love it! It was about £28 which isn't too bad either!
I love the Cath Kidston makeup bag, its adorable! :)

  2. You have/will obtain so many awesome things. Can I just live under your chair and wear your jewelry and try on shows all day? Kthxbai.

Wish I remembered where it was because I want one for my make-up. Anddd my little sister bought me a Cath Kidston make-up bag for Christmas: I never used to carry make-up with me on a daily basis but feel the need to now haha! xxxx

  15. I think I need a cake stand, but for perfumes. (I tend to have more perfumes and sprays more than anything!) And thank you for the heads up/ tip about getting them on eBay instead of everywhere else.

  18. I was about to buy a pretty similar blazer to this from Miss Selfridge a few months ago for £50, and then my mum announced that she used to have a Laura Ashley blazer like that for work in the 90's, and dug it out of the garage for me... so, maybe try ebay and see if anyone else has old blazers you could recycle? I just stuck a few H&M broaches on the lapels to give it a new twist.

    Give me a read sometime...

  33. I adore those shoes! And a mascara swap is such a good idea. Esp since lots of people keep their old one until it all dry and clumpy. A great way for Clinique to get their product out there, they are quite good as well!

  36. I heard about the Clinque mascara and ran around town today trying to get my hands on it. I brought an 89p mascara from Savers, headed to Debenhams only to be told they had run out! They told me that Boots were also doing the offer so off I went and when I got there, found out they weren't actually, but they gave me a mascara for my trouble anyway!

  37. I love the cake stand it lovely, and the cath kidston make up bag. I read this post the other day and thought i really like that blazer, then i went to a bootsale on sunday and a woman who sells new things who is there all the time was selling all new clothes from florence and fred and she had lots of blazers at £2 each she had them in different colours and styles so i ended up buying about 4! One was like the one in your post,i was very happy. So maybe look in Florence and fred. But these were such a bargain.I love your blog. Gem xx
