la vie en rose

dress: yayer
headband: primark
ring: topshop
eyelashes: ebay

My first Yayer purchase! I tried on a couple of dresses similar to this in a little shop in town - they always have really nice stuff, I got this there - but they were so short and pretty much see-through. Not good! I actually wore this dress out the other night with some tan wedges (yeah, I caved, post coming soon!) and then home and hungover the next day in some sandals in the same colour! I wish I'd had the guts to pair it with the cute little headband outside of my bedroom but then again it would look a lot better with wavy hair, I just wanted to show what it looked like on. Also, everyone that's been asking about or commenting on my tan, I've been using Garnier Summer Body in deep since reading Kate's post. I'd only ever used the light versions of gradual tanners before but obviously this one works really well and the developing smell isn't too bad!

  3. ahh i caved and bought this too. Its my friends birthday in london soon and I just can't seem to find anything I like in town. You look gorgeous as always! Thanks for the mention, isn't the gradual tanner great?! Such a good price, and youre such a gorgeous golden colour. I think it looks a lot more natural and not orange at all.
can't believe how pretty you are! xo.

  4. Really nice on you! I love the headband... never saw it in Primark. :(
I bought some fake tan from St. Tropez but I can't get myself to try it out because I am really pale and I am scared that it will look stupid!

  5. So drawn to your eyelashes here Emma, have you mentioned what ones they are?
Love this look, it is perfect for a festival with over knee socks and wellies (seriously, I can see it happening). Definitely dare to wear it outdoors with the headband because it teams perfectly for a boho hippie look!
Gorgeous images as always, I'm so glad you are posting more again.

  16. Hey lovely girl, thank you for your comment.

I've used MAC's Prolongwear concealer and I'd say the staying power is about the same. I have pretty bad blemish scars so I need to put on more to cover stuff, but I find that the EL concealer works really well with the foundation. They both stick on all day if you don't touch your face. Also, the MAC Prolongwear smells kind of funky! EL is a bit pricier (about $4 more in the USA), but it's worth it.

  26. I love that Yayer dress, I dithered over ordering it for aaages and when I got round to it, they were out of my size! I bet it looked gorge with those tan wedges. Think I'm going to get the Garnier Summer Body lotion in deep tomorrow, I use the light one but it really doesn't build a tan up on my skintone! xx
