boudoir prive august

Sachajuan Hair repair, Olavie Antioxidant Body Butter, Jane Iredale PureLash,
Bloom teas, Babore cream, ETAT LIBRE D'ORANGE perfume

Was greeted with my Boudoir Prive box when I got home from work today. Just the thing to cheer me up after a long stressful day! You may have seen my Glossybox posts before, and obviously some people may be sitting there thinking 'what the hell is this brand' and so on. What people need to remember is that because it's a French company etc. then of course we will not have heard of some of the brands, and like Lily says it would probably impress non-bloggers (there needs to be some kind of 'muggle' word for them!) more because let's face it, as bloggers we can at times be a little bit snobby with brands we haven't heard of. Looking forward to trying these products out though, especially the hair repair and the lash extender! Did you get a box?

PS. Forgot to mention you can get your first box (if you haven't ordered already) for half the price, which is normally £10, using the code '1BOX12'. Enjoy and let me know what you think!

  2. I used the lash extender yesterday and today, so far I'm really impressed! It's made my lashes look so much better and fuller. Definitely going to be buying the full size. Would never have tried it in the first place if I didn't get it in this box :) xx

  4. I am SO glad they took a different approach to sample boxing and actually followed through with their claims, a true to word luxury sample box. What a breath of fresh air! The bits you got look so boutiquey, I can imagine them filling glass bowls in a gorgeous shop on a little street with petals in the window and mahogany furnishings.
The only thing that would put me off is that because these samples are so unknown, it could be difficult to find out where to get them again!
I am so glad you posted your code, thanks Emma!

  11. I totally agree with you, plus isn't the whole point of this box thing to try new things? What's the point if they give you samples of your favourite brands? I love that's it's one I've barely heard of!

  13. The hair repair could be pretty good! Do you have to go into some kind of contract to get these things? Or is it like, you pay them if you want it that month and don't if you don't?

  20. I kind of wish I'd ordered one of these, having seen everyone's August box - I think the Boudoir Prive box is just aimed at a different market to the Glossybox - I see Boudoir Prive as more of a 'boutique' brand and Glossybox as 'high street', if that makes sense, they're just completely different and I think a lot of people were disappointed because they'd be more similar?
I'm definitely ordering next month's box, though, I love discovering new brands that aren't as well known :) xx

  21. It all looks so lovely to have! I hope the items inside work well for you. Unfortunately, I won't be able to get boxes shipped to me because I live in the States. Hopefully someday though!
