Can you tell I couldn't be bothered today? Had a really clear dream that was actually quite upsetting this morning and wasn't in the mood to doll myself up for work. Threw a couple of casual bits together (the top is old, so I hope nobody goes looking for it now!) et voila! I hardly ever dress like this considering I have loads of casual bits. Also wore my Converse high tops for maximum laziness. There was a lot of commotion about the riots coming to town towards the end of the day, some shops closed early and I was just generally a nervous mess! Got the ampersand jumper on the way home though! Just ate the biggest homemade cheeseburger ever, I feel like I've been on Man v. Food. Now time to have an extra hot bubble bath and chill out. Early night for me I think!
PS. Another note about the riots.. what are your views on them? Personally I think the behaviour of these so called 'protesters' (oh please) is disgusting. Where is Tony Stark when you need him?

That top is so cute! I can't believe it's from Primark, they really do have some great bits at times. I guess it's all about hunting for them though!

ReplyDeleteAs for the riots I can't get my head around it. I mean, I know why it started but I just don't see how anyone thinks that trashing everything in sight will make anything better at all. It's just so bloody selfish and actually scary that they've started in birmingham too.
I also don't buy the excuse that it's all caused by the levels of unemployment. But I hope it all stops soon and it must be terrifying to be in those areas now!

ReplyDelete2) been having the hugest 'debate' with this girl i know about disenfranchised youth and the tories' cuts. i'm a labour supporter and feel like yes, there are some problems for the 'youths of today' but they are just rioting for the sake of it. none of them will have heard of the man that got shot and probably will have never heard of David Cameron!! I'm in the suburbs of north west london and even we've been told to stay clear of the town centre because of fear of potential troubles - ruined me going to nandos so I was not best pleased!!!

ReplyDeleteThe riots are unbelievable, just a load of mindless thugs who have nothing going on in their lives so they go out to try and fill the void with violence, the country needs to crack down on these kind of people and make it safer for everyone. But that's just my view xx

Love this look :) I'm totally not buying what the rioters claim, the vast majority seem to be just doing it for the sake of it now they've realised it's really taken off, and it's really saddened and disgusted me. Plus now it's spread to Birmingham, where I am - I don't live in the city centre but the fact that it's spreading at all is really worrying :/ xx

Oh I hate it when dreams have that effect on you! I had one the other night and it really threw me off for the whole day! Love this! I adore the t-shirt, high waisted shorts looks, lazy but stylish :) As for the riots, there is no other way to describe it than 'ridiculous'. I am so scared for all the innocent people who will get caught up in it all

ReplyDeleteLove that tee. I wish I could pull off casual tees, but I always look like I'm trying too hard -- which is completely the opposite of looking casual! And oh my god, Man Vs Food is the greatest TV show of ALL TIME. Every time I watch it I want to order a takeaway and stuff my face.
ReplyDeleteAs for the riots, unfortunately you're always going to get a group of 'protestors' who are there to cause trouble without actually knowing what they're protesting against. It was the same for the student fee protests: people just turn up for the crack.

ReplyDeleteAnd on the riots, it's important not to forget the areas these people come from and the violence they probably see themselves on a daily basis. I'm not saying it justifies what they are doing - I don't think they know what they're rioting for - but I do think it highlights some real issues this country has and how we need to start addressing the problem of inequality quite seriously.
I fucking love iron man, welle xcited for the new avengers films and theres talks of an iron man 3! I am disgusted by the riots, worse still is the fact that other cities are following suit. They are endangering innocent lives and trashing shops/homes of people who have worked their entire lives to have these luxuries. It makes you lose hope in humantiy really. If it wasnt for the #riotcleanup act going on, I would have given up on people xxx
