Bought these two eyeshadow trios the other week as part of the 3 for 2 offer in Boots which I think is still on right now. They're part of 17's new Autumn Collection and are seriously lovely. I think they were about £5.50 each but they seem a lot more expensive! I particularly love the gold shades in the 'Enraged' trio and have been using the silver from 'Broken Hearted' on the inner corners of my eyes for going out. I've got a few nude trio eyeshadows from the permanent collection which I also love, and it makes me wonder why people spend so much money when you can get a great product this cheap! Have you tried these shadows? What do you think of cheap eyeshadow, would you rather use a more expensive product? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

never tried these, might have to check them out!

They look like lovely shades, especially the gold! I'm very happy to use cheaper eyeshadow and wouldn't be seen without my MUA Heaven and Earth palette x

Those look so lovely! I need to get some autumny- shades too, the "Broken Hearted" one looks so nice, such a pity I don't like in the UK :(
ReplyDeleteReally loving the gold/bronze colors. Great makeup look for fall ! Expensive products are a nice treat, but it's easy to make do with cheaper products ! I don't find much difference x
ReplyDeleteA while ago I bought the "In The Nude" (I think thats what its called?) trio by 17 wanting something cheap and cheerful, and at the same time bought some more expensive shadows too, but its the 17 trio that gets used everyday!
ReplyDeleteI've heard a lot of good things about 17 lately and my mom raves about it. I should probably stop being such a make-up snob :p
ReplyDeleteI love whole 17 range - very good quality for the price. Did you pick up the free gift with eye liner and lip gloss?

Love the grey ones, seem perfect for a smokey eye! Would definitely try it out. x
ReplyDeleteThe neutral trio is lovely. I've never used 17 shadows before. I don't mind using cheaper products I love Sleek and thats only £6 :)
ReplyDeleteReally like the look of these and was thinking about getting some more shadows so may have to check these out! I do really like drugstore brands but just feel that little bit better with something high-end on. Don't really know why but I just do!!xxx

ahhh, they're lovely! i've never been able to afford expensive make up, i've always used high street brands and this post has just re-confirmed my love for it! X
ReplyDeletewhat was your 3rd product? ps. no one wants to see your hairy arms. actually i'm slightly concerned as there are absolutely no hairs on your arm at all. weirdo. miss you x
ReplyDeleteI love the look of the brown/neutral shades, look perfect!x
ReplyDeleteI used to have a couple of 17's single eyeshadows and they were amazing! Probably some of the best I've had! :) x
ReplyDeletei pretty much exclusively wear black eyeshadow so i don't really spend any money on buying new ones anyway, but if i did use different colours i'd probably be more inclined to go for cheaper options most of the time to try them out, i don't think they're the kind of product there can be HEAPS of variation in terms of quality anyway.
ReplyDeleteI've got the 17 Satrry Eyes trios in Moondust and Galatic and I think they're lovely! Three shadows in one? Great! And you can create a great coloured smokey eye. Personally I NEVER buy more expensive products - the cheaper the better. I don't get why you'd pay more if the cheaper version is just as good.
