I bought this last week with some points on my Debenhams Beauty Club card, so ended up costing me only £4.50! I've had one of these before and have been scraping the last remnants out of it for a while and saving it for special occasions. I don't know what made me so hesitant to fork out for another pot because I really like this product.
When it comes to dark circles under the eyes I need all the help I can get. I'm guessing it's hereditary because they've never gone away completely. At the moment though my sleeping pattern is a bit messed up so they are even worse than normal. Erase Paste is a thick, creamy concealer which reminds me of YSL Touche Eclat because of the luminosity but has a lot more density to it. It's not completely opaque, so I tend to use it over foundation or MAC Studio Finish to brighten the area rather than try to purely build coverage with it.
Because the product is so creamy it is prone to creasing and moving about so I like to set it with a light dusting of powder. I don't find it goes cakey at all when I do this either, which I wouldn't have expected before I tried it. It also reapplies well over powder in small amounts. I don't think it's the most portable product to be honest, I tend to throw the spatula away and just use a concealer brush to get product out and apply it. I don't like putting my fingers in the pot as my nails pick up more product than I'd like.
I haven't really bigged it up enough in this post I don't think, and I know a lot of people don't like it. I guess I'm just used to having to take many steps with my makeup to look a little more awake and a little less zombie! I'm always up for discovering new products which could help with dark circles so if you have any recommendations pop them in the comments below! Have you tried Erase Paste? What did you think if so?

ive had erase paste before and i did enjoy using it, but the spatula is just a waste of time. i think i prefer boiing as a concealer!
ReplyDeleteI've got that one too, I just never reach for it!
DeleteI've heard SO many good things about this but never shed out the money for it, it's very tempting though!.

My friend raves about Erase Paste, and I've been amazed with the results, but for some reason I have never purchased it! I maybe should :-)
ReplyDeleteThe spatula looks a bit weird! It sounds like a good concealer though, I might try it when my current one runs out.
ReplyDeleteI got a mini version of this in a set this Christmas. Haven't tried it yet though because its in shade 2 and I'm really pale. But I've heard such good things about it that I might buy the lighter shade x
ReplyDeleteI love erase paste! Agree with throwing the spatula out and using a concealer brush though, spatula is a nightmare and you end up wasting it!
ReplyDeleteI've tried this in a set before and wasn't keen on it, a bit too thick for me but I know people who love it x

I haven't tried this yet. I am not sure if it will replace my collection 2000 16 hour concealer, but would definitely like to give it a try!

I tried and tried to like erase paste but I just couldn't get on with it. Now I use collection 2000 lasting perfection (like so many others) which I really like. I'm aching to try healthy mix concealer next though.

This looks really brilliant, I get major dark circles under my eyes as well that never properly seem to go away so I might give this a go.

I love the idea of this, the application process puts me off a little. but i'll definitely give it a try one day soon!
ReplyDeleteGreat post!

I wasn't a massive fan, I found it creased really quick and was quite greasy! Maybe it just doesn't suit my skin type!

Have you tried the bobbi brown corrector? It works amazing on my dark circles! x
ReplyDeleteNope, need to try it asap!
DeleteI love erase paste! Got a sample size of it last summer and will definitely be replacing it soon because I've got hardly any left! x

I used Erase Paste for a while, okay for under the eye but it didn't conceal spots very well, if anything it made them look worse.. maybe a bit too thick for me! x

You can click the link under the photos! I'd suggest going to your nearest counter first though and having an MUA apply it
DeleteI used to have acne scars before I started getting microdermabrasion and glycolic acid peels, and no concealer I would use would ever hide the scars. However, I eventually decided to give this a try and think it's absolutely wonderful, my favorite concealer! Funny how by the time I got my hands on this product, my scars were almost completely gone, though. Ha!
ReplyDeleteI love it and use it over the Lemonaid. Really does wonders for my purple circles. I use a concealer brush too x
ReplyDeleteWhile I was in New York I decided to splash out on lots of make up as it's so much cheaper over there, so I bought the bobbi brown correcter and creamy concealer kit, http://www.bobbibrown.co.uk/product/2335/15905/Makeup/Face/Correctors-Concealers/Corrector/New/index.tmpl

The man working their applied the right colour for me and it completely covered my dark circles up ( mine are so hideous) so I bought it straight away, it's amazing!
I also really like the collection 2000 concealer when I don't have much money!
xx
I really want to try this so I'm glad you recommend it! I have the Collection 2000 too but find it a bit too wet to cover dark circles REALLY well..
DeleteI've had my Erase Paste for about two years now, and I use it everyday on my dark circles. It's a God send and works so well! I think I'll definately be buying a new one once it runs out.
ReplyDeleteI went to benefit and got them to test boi-ing on on eye and erase paste on the other so i could compare them and boi-ing was much much more opaque than erase paste!

I know what you mean, I just find the Erase Paste brightens me right up, and that's why I pair it with other products (:
Deleteas a drugstore one i find garnier roll on conealear quite good and it gets rid of bags at the same time, really cheap to!
ReplyDeletehttp://charlmorgan.blogspot.com/
I've tried that and it does nothing for me! ):
DeleteI got such bad skin after using this so I needed to stop, its not very good for your skin if have oily or combination skin which I have.
ReplyDeleteI have one from Lancome now, which i absolutly love! :)
is the lancome worth it? I love the erase paste but am always looking for new things to try! i know lancomes pricey though! silly student life.
Deletexxx
To be honest its totally worth it. It last for so long that the spend per time isnt that much. I hate buying it myself as I cringe every time i see the price, but when i see it on i get happy again. Its called Effacernes longue tenue by the way. If anyone else have tried it here and doesnt like it, then please speak up! :)
DeleteI've heard good things about this but have never tried it as I've always been put off by they packaging (I don't like pots) and the price tag, as I tend to find benefit a tad overpriced even though I know lots of people love it. For now I'm satisfied with my collection 2000 concealer, although I'd like to try a MAC one.

I love Erase Paste, I have too many sleepless nights and I find its the only thing that helps brighten my under eye area. The only con I'm finding at the moment is its creasing in my eye lines (omg I'm getting so oooooold) I got a mini one in the Confessions of the Concealerholic, its lasting ages.
ReplyDeleteI love erase paste! I've hada tiny pot fromthe concealaholic set for ages. I've only recently got back into using it.. It works really well and a little goes a very long way. I hvave very blue toned patches under my eyes and I find that shade 2 (medium)cancels out the blue very well aas it's very orange. I like that its quite sheer because it allows me to use medium even with my pale skin. Love love love!! Sorry about my spelling etc.. Old iPhone = rubbish texting! Xxx
ReplyDeleteI love erase paste! Had it for a while now and it really lasts! I have the same issue with dark circles so i know how difficult it is to conceal. Erase paste is a definite god send on early mornings!

I really must try this but I can't bare to part with £19.50 when I'm quite happy with Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer :/

I need a new concealer that actually works, this looks good but I'm afraid to fork out a score for something that might not work. x
ReplyDeleteOoh I've been hunting for a decent concealer that actually works, I've bought so many and they all promise so much and turn out to be utter rubbish! Got some beauty points so I'll use those and get this, really hope it works!
ReplyDeletewww.hummingbirdandtherose.com
Erase Paste has been my main under eye concealer for a while now. Just like you however I have to use something under it (I use the boi-ing concealer) which may be because I have really bad under-eye circles that just don't go away despite me almost always getting 9 hours sleep and drinking plenty water each day. I still however haven't tried many other high-end concealers so can't say if this is the BEST but it definitely works for now...

I've never tried Erase Paste before but every review I read seems to only have positives! xxx
ReplyDeletehttp://fireworksxo.blogspot.com
I love erase paste! I wouldn't be without it. Although the same thing happens to me with my nails and I hate it- accidentally scraping some under the nail is the worst! X
ReplyDeleteDo they do one for black skin?

The darkest shade is 'deep' which is supposed to be for darker skins, it doesn't look that dark but on the packaging for it the girl is dark-skinned rather than pale like my one, and obviously as it is light reflecting it should be quite light? I'd check it out at your local counter to see (:
Deletei have exactly the same problem as you with dark undereye circles, i have tried garnier roll on, ysl touche eclait, eye creams, mac studio finish (i know!), and nothing has worked. my new options are estee lauder, bobbi brown, soap & glory kick ass or this. since you've given this such a good review i may have to consider this as well haha. i am desperate!! xx
ReplyDeleteDior have a new product called Eyes Essential from their Capture Totale range, I got a free sample the other week when buying foundation, it's amazing!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love erase paste! I have some acne scares and it does an amazing job covering them. The only problem is that it can sometimes make me break out as well so I switch between erase paste and boiing!
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about buying this. Don't know why I never have actually because I've heard great things. x
ReplyDeleteI love this product! I suffer from dark circles too I think its just the way my skull is if I'm honest lol.

I've just ordered some of this on buyapowa, it's going down to £14 so definitely having it! So glad it's fair too, I was guessing that they'd have put a tan coloured one up there or something but it's nice and pale so it'll do for my ghostly skin!

I love this concealer - I got it for Christmas and will never buy anything else again. I have trouble with dark circles too and nothing has concealed them as well as this. I did a post on them on my blog too.

a friend bought me this product for christmas and i have to say i love it, it works absolutely brilliantly to cover up dark circles and general blemishes on the face. i usually do what you do, and use it over foundation, just in the areas that need it. and i agree with you on the spachelor, i threw it away! xx
ReplyDeleteI bought the lemon aid a while back I'm not sure if its similar but found it to be a tad greasy so never bothered to buy further benefit concealers..I use a mac one now which seems to be better for my skin type..booo oily skin! x
ReplyDeleteHi there
ReplyDeleteI've got exactly the same problem with dark circles. They've bothered me since I was 15 so I've tried so many lotions and potions. The best product I've used (and have stuck with for over a year) is 'By Terry Touch Expert Advanced'. I love it so much that I included it in one of my blog posts (http://onlythechic.wordpress.com/2012/01/16/my-beauty-all-stars/). It's also similar to Touche éclat, however, I think it has pigment in it. As such, it gives more coverage (rather than just highlighting). You can buy this at Space NK and, from memory, it's between £25 and £30 (although... don't quote me on that!). Will definitely give this Benefit product a try though.
