body lotion, Green People Gentle Cleanse, Phyto PhytoBaume conditioner,
Lierac Coherence L.IR firming cream and 'wrinkle smoother'
Probably not the most exciting box in everyone's eyes but I'm quite happy with it! Everything in this month's box is skincare except one hair product. Usually I would call this lazy but after reading the card that comes with it, January should be all about treating your skin after the festive season and getting your glow back. Makes sense!
I really like the Lierac cream even though it's anti-aging (prevention is better than cure right?), it sinks into the skin well and the scent is quite nice. Not sure I will use the wrinkle smoother stuff yet, the fact that it says 'comfort peel' on the front worries me and makes me feel like it's going to be quite harsh. Still curious though!
The smell of the Caudalie body lotion is a little off-putting (generic 'mature' smell if you know what I mean!) but I do like the texture so I'll be using it of a night at home so my boyfriend doesn't have to sniff it.
I've not used the Phyto stuff yet but I'm really looking forward to doing so as I've heard lots of good things. I don't consider my hair to be coloured anymore since having it dyed to its natural colour well over a year ago but where it's faded to a blonder shade I guess it might need a little bit of care in that aspect!
The cleanser smells very 'green' which would explain the brand name, probably going to keep this in my bag for when I stay over at my boyfriend's. Easier than taking my Cleanse & Polish and having to leave a soggy muslin cloth there!
Got the salt brushing before in the September GlossyBox but I enjoyed using it so I don't mind getting some more. I feel this is one of the brands that has been really 'overdone' in the beauty box game, I think I've seen it appear in about 3 or 4 separate months of various boxes! Nice but not really anything new after a while.
Overall I am pleased with this box, some people might be disappointed with no makeup but personally I have more than enough cosmetics so they won't be missed this month! What are your views on the feelunique beauty box?

it doesnt look special but i see what they mean when they say we need to give our skin an extra special treatment after all that drinking & unhealthy food season that we call holidays LOL xxx
ReplyDeletei loved this months box, aside from the green people cleanser, because i got their day cream in a glossybox so i knew i just wasnt fussed about the brand. everything else im happy with though :) i like that everyone gets the same thing, saves so much hassle and disappointment!
ReplyDeleteI think I'd be really happy with that box, esp for after the festive season! I never know which box I should subscribe to so currently don't receive any, what's the best? xo

They're all different so I can't really say! This one is a bit cheaper though and I think you're more likely to have heard of the brands. Also this isn't a company that purely sells these boxes, it's a secondary product so they don't try to sell it so much? Sometimes not as exciting but they're all products they actually sell anyway so bound to be a good quality! If I'd never got any I'd probably start with this one (: and it's the only box I pay for now which must be saying something!
DeleteThis was my first beauty box and I'm quite impressed. I absolutely love the dead sea salt brushing, smells lush!
ReplyDeleteI also did a post on the box on my blog if you want to go check it out! :)
This post isn't marked with an *, does that mean this is something you buy? It looks really good! xx
ReplyDeleteYeah I pay for my feelunique boxes. You can buy all the sample boxes, I just get sent the other two to review!
DeleteI liked this months box, I normally really neglect my skin, so this will force me to look after it, well at least until the products run out!
ReplyDeleteIm really happy with this box, the Lierac cream is gorgeous before bed and the moisturiser has actually made my skin really soft and smooth. I really need to focus on my skin and skin are this month so I am glad to get these products!

This was my first box from feelunique.com and I was really pleased with it, I love skincare and as you quite rightly say I really don't need any more cosmetics either! x
ReplyDeleteI tried the Phyto conditioner - I was really impressed by how soft my hair was after. I got slightly different contents to yours - I think yours is better! x

I was disappointed with the anti ageing products, really wish they would at least like, check your age before they send them or something! :/

I think the only thing I'd be bothered about would be the hair conditioner, I'm not a massive fan of receiving boxes full of just face creams and stuff, I'd much prefer there to be a wider rande of products in there so that there was something to please everyone! Really puts me off when they send wrinkle cream and stuff too, they should send things that are more age appropriate because, lets be fair, none of us are that likely to run out and buy wrinkle cream are we? I was going to sign up in time for the January box but ended up having no internet access for a while, glad I didn't now!
