After wanting to try this product for what felt like forever, my Kerastase hair oil finally ran out a few weeks ago and I decided to try this one for a change. I don't find it as thick as my old one and it seems 'wetter' as silly as that sounds? I really love the smell of it though (quite manly but it's still nice!) and am enjoying using it. I don't really know if it's that different to the Kerastase one, I like both! I think all high end hair oils (not just cooking oils etc. because they make my hair smell funny) do pretty much the same job. Probably placebo effect but still! I do think the product is pricey but bear in mind a 125ml bottle lasted me well over a year, and that's without rationing it - I like to use it before I dry my hair, after I dry my hair and randomly throughout the day to smooth my hair down and just generally pamper it a bit. So overall I really like this product. It feels really luxe and makes my hair feel healthier as well as giving the ends some extra shine. I definitely recommend using a hair oil but it's totally up to you which one you choose (I also like the Macadamia one).

Thanks for this post, I've been torn about buying Moroccan Oil treatment because of the price tag and same thing with the Kerastase one. I'll give some less pricey ones a try first and maybe work my way up to this one.

I bought this on Buyapowa the other day and can't wait to try it. I have a little sample size of macadamia oil and I really like that so hopefully I'll get on with Moroccan oil too xx
ReplyDeleteI've been after getting some of this for ages now. Haven't quite mustard up the courage to invest. Must try though x
ReplyDeleteI love Moroccan Oil! Only need to use the tiniest amount though, which is why some of the above commenters experienced greasiness. It should never be applied to the roots guys! Just the ends.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures xxx
i have been eyeing up this for so long, so many people have blogged about moroccan oil, it looks so goood! x

you need to try Amargan hair therapy oil. I'm using it now after trying morroccon oil because I needed a cheaper option (18 pounds for a 100ml. on ebay) and I promise it is actually so much better than moroccon oil- which I didn't expect. I felt the difference straight away. couldn't reccommend it more! They even use it in my hair salon!
ReplyDeleteonce you've finished this (probs next year haha) try it- sooo worth it!

ReplyDeleteThis has been on my purchase list for agesss! but I have never got round to actually buying it becasue of the price. I now have an excuse to buy it though as I have had my hair died and the ends are looking pretty dry and lifeless so hopefully this will help.

I like this product, but i prefer the Kerastase elixir ultime!
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to buy this for agessssss but have always been put off by the price. I have "Amargan Oil" which I love and I think does the same job X
ReplyDeleteI have the moroccan oil and use a really tiny bit on my hair as it's short, it definitely makes it shinier and less frizzy, and it lasts for absolutely ages. I can't afford to buy it again though so i'm going to try the Lee Stafford one when it runs out xx

This one is full of silicones, not for me! I jst want one with natural ingredients... I will check the Kerastase one then!
ReplyDeleteI still want to try the Moroccanoil, bought an Argan Oil from Superdrug for £9.99 thats AMAZING though so can't really justify it. The before and after photos when I'd used it were so good!
ReplyDeleteIt's just so expensive, but I guess there is the smaller size you could get just to try it...

You have to try the Gielly Green Argan Rescue. It's lighter, not oily or greasy at all and saves a lot of money priced at £18 :) I need to try Moroccan and Macademia though!

this product has revolutionized my hair since the summer - i had such dry brittle locks, and they were long which made it even worse as my hair poof-ed out at the ends and stayed flat on top. But Morrocan has changed my hair way completely and I am forever grateful for it! Enjoy it.
