They're Real is something I really didn't want to give into the hype about. The ridiculous amount of buzz about it was off putting for me and just made me feel like it wouldn't work - how's that for reverse psychology?! Even when my friend Hayley - a bonafide BeneBabe - recommended it to me I wasn't having any of it. I first received a sample sized version in my goody bag from the Cosmo Ultimate Women Of The Year 2012 Awards and since then I'm a total convert!
At first, the main concern I had with the mascara as to why it wouldn't work for me, comes down to the brush. I don't normally get on with plastic bristles and tend to favour softer ones, but this wand really seems to know what it's doing! A few strokes gives my lashes intense lift, volume and curl without clumping and the finish is very black, which is just what I like. I find with the formula that you can apply more than one coat, but once it's dry it can be difficult to build up so act quickly. It's long-wearing but at the same time is pretty easy to remove, so all in all I'm very happy to repurchase and recommend this - sometimes products really are worth their hype! Have you tried They're Real?
