Probably too soon for another post about lipstick but I wanted to talk about this in comparison to Haute Altitude before it sells out! I was in the MAC store in Covent Garden earlier today and they were all out so it must be really popular!
MAC Please Me is a matte finish muted rose pink shade which I've had for a couple of years now and forgot I had up until a few months ago. I've no idea why as when I started using it again it quickly became my go-to hue as it's very flattering and pretty without being too pink. The only downside to it for me is the finish; as I'm prone to quite dry lips and unless they're in perfect condition this doesn't look its best (as you can kind of tell from the swatch above). For this reason I spotted Haute Altitude in the Apres Chic collection and had to have it - you can read more about it here.
All in all I do really like both lipsticks; but I'd recommend Haute Altitude if you can get your hands on it as it's limited edition and generally more wearable. I love these muted pinks at the moment - what are your thoughts?

DeleteI have Please Me and I have to say it looks a lot more of a "natural" lip on you - I'm quite a bit paler and it stands out a lot more. The finish of Haute Attitude also seems a lot more flattering, but that might be personal shine preference. :)

ReplyDeleteNo problemo, this one and the white that looks the same are IKEA, the white with pink flowers is Tesco and the white with hearts/fairisle print is Primark :)
