Maybelline Forever Strong Ceramic Blue

Maybelline Forever Strong Professional Nail Polish in Ceramic Blue: £4.09

My nail polish went gloopy and weird the other week when I wasn't at home so I obviously had to buy an extra pot of my ever faithful Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover as well as a new hue to adorn my talons. I've probably got the entire line of Models Own polishes and the Essie stand just wasn't cutting it (nothing I could spot that I didn't have already!) so I took to Maybelline and this little blue bottle caught my eye. The name drew me in but I don't really find it that 'blue' as sometimes it looks more lilac. The product also has a slightly shimmery look to it in the bottle but it doesn't transfer onto the nail from what I can see. The brush of this polish makes application easy peasy and I'll most likely be trying out a few more shades from the Forever Strong range. Love it, thumbs up from me!

Have you tried any polishes from the Maybelline Forever Strong line? What's your favourite 'drugstore' polish brand?

  20. Sounds cliche but Barry M has to be my favourite cheaper nail polish brand, their colours are perfect, and Topshop. You can't beat Essie though really.

  43. I love this shade! I have tried the forver strong before but it was a french manicure kit - I really liked it, easy to apply and fast drying but I prefer other brands colour ranges! My favourite drugstore would definately have to be essie/models own/ rimmel ( oh please don't make me choose).

  46. It seems to be 'bigging up' the staying power - is this true? Being a blogger you'll know all about typing fingers.. does this really resist chips? I'm pretty loyal to Essie with a coat or two of Seche Vite which lasts around 4 days with an occasional fill-in over any chips/tip wear - I need to find something to solve all of my problems!

    1. I use OPI Nail Envy as a base coat and the Nails Inc Caviar top coat but I'm also wearing a glitter over the top of this so I don't know how well it lasts alone! I have minor tip wear since Saturday night though :)
