Palmer's Cocoa Butter Skin Therapy Oil

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil: £9.10

As mentioned in my March Favourites video, I tried this out on whim when I found it in a goody bag and immediately fell in love with it. It has an impressive list of skin improving properties and I'm guessing is similar to Bio-Oil. Although it's a treatment oil I use this as a standard moisturising product and apply to damp skin after my bath or shower (pat dry but not fully, so that the oil can lock in any remaining moisture without getting wasted). It's the easiest and fastest method for me to keep my skin hydrated without using a lotion or a body butter, so I use it most days. The scent of this is heavenly, but it's quite strong so might not be everyone's cup of tea! I don't find it greasy in the slightest, but then again I do suffer from dry, tight skin if I don't moisturise so the same probably won't apply to everyone. I'm a complete convert though and I'm already on my second bottle! I can see myself repurchasing this again and again because it's just so nice to use!

Have you tried this or anything like it? Are you a fan of moisturising oils (be it for your face, body, hair etc.)?

  1. I love hair oils but I'm a bit hesitant to try face oils xx

  2. My skin's the same, I need moisturiser straight after a shower. I always use a body butter but this sounds good since it probably does a lot more things for your skin! I used to love the smell of the cocoa butter lotion too although it tends to stick to clothes I think.

  3. I tried a really thick version which was a little more expensive from this brand and it wasn't great! This looks great, might have to pick it up!

  5. this looks great, i am totally in love with all things palmers. I find oils best for my scaley skin, I got into a habit last year of using coconut oil all over but became lazy.

  7. I have this as well, but have gotten out of the habit of using it. It definitely makes me smell like I've been dipped in chocolate. Might have to get back into using it before summer arrives fully!

  11. So glad to read a review based on incredibly dry skin, mine is exactly the same. Im a huge fan of palmers cocoa butter so I cant wait to try this - great review!

p.s if you like bio oil, home bargain does one similar called 'rescue oil' much cheaper, and does the same job i've found.

  17. That sounds like such a great product...and it's not too too expensive. I've been using the Josie Maran Argan Oil as a moisturizer for my face, nails, and hair! It's $14 for a small bottle at Sephora. I think it's definitely worth the price. But I'm very intrigued to try this Skin Therapy Oil after your review!
