It's funny how a little sunshine can spread so much happiness. Spring has sprung up on us so quickly - at least that's how it feels for me! - and I couldn't be more pleased, but I'm really looking forward to summer. Longer evenings, lighter clothes, eating al fresco, a legit excuse to wear sunglasses constantly.. I can't wait. New Look have got all your transitional wardrobe needs covered right now and I've been styling out some of the Tropical Surf collection.
You know me; black and white never goes out of style, and with the corals and oranges filtered through the outfit it's a summer hit in my books. Starting with the main component of the look, the Palm Tree Print Shirt, I added a simple pair of black skinnies - they're the Supersoft Super Skinny Jeans and are seriously comfy - which I rolled up because I'm short but more importantly to bear a little ankle and keep it seasonal, then went for the Cut Out Block Heel Ankle Boots as they're both durable and brilliantly easy to throw on with anything, and the cut-out gives a nod to warmer days. Lastly, I threw on a trusty black fedora and the Brown Animal Print Half Frame Sunglasses. Like I said, I like to wear variations of black and white at the moment with a colour running through, so I went for the Coral Structured Metal Plate Satchel along with matching lips & tips - and I was good to go!
Considering I usually take all my own photos, I roped my brother into playing the part of personal paparazzi for the afternoon during a dog walk - and I think he did pretty well for a first-timer! Beigel's not so impressed - but look at the matching poses in the last snap. Sassy. Perhaps there's a palm tree print harness out there..
