I won this in Laura's giveaway a little while back and have been in love with it since it arrived. It's probably the perfect pink for me, the cremesheen formula is a favourite of mine but this is a lot more opaque and buildable than the formula usually is for me personally. I think I've worn it everyday since I got it, I can't rave about it enough and I would definitely buy it myself if it ever runs out! It probably will sooner rather than later seeing as I love it so much!

Will hopefully update this post with a lip swatch soon but for now you can see me wearing it here for reference!

my london fashion week AW12

If you've been living under a rock you may not have noticed that this past week has been none other than London Fashion Week. Not having gone to any shows I thought I'd share my experiences as a first time LFW attendee anyway, to prove you can have just as much fun, tickets or no tickets! You can of course get into shows (provided you have some kind of exhibition pass, easy to apply!) if you wait around till the end and they have seats left, but I was too lazy for that and just went for the experience really. Next time will be another story!

Day one (day two in LFW terms) - Saturday: visited the Handpicked Media bloggers' suite for a bit with some bloggy friends (Zoe, Anna, Jen), then over the rest of the day saw Gem, Jen, Kate and Lily. Didn't really do much except people watch, eat and drink free champagne. Fine by me! You can see what I wore here.

Day two (day.. five? in LFW terms) - Tuesday: had another quick visit this evening for my MAC makeover appointment and this time I went alone. The lovely lady at MAC tried a lipstick on me that I'd been curious about for a while and I fell in love. I would say it's totally worth getting an appointment with them as you feel like a princess afterwards and you get a nice little bag of goodies to take home with you! Second time around I decided flatforms would be more sensible and teamed them up with a cute white lace dress (LFW shouldn't be totally practical I don't think!) and my trusty leather jacket. I felt like being a bit weird and using my laptop sleeve as a clutch bag but I think I worked it! After that I tracked down a Meadham Kirchhoff for Topshop doll face tee that was shown in the '10 Years of Topshop Supporting British Fashion' room. I love it and it serves as a nice little memory of my LFW experience.

This is what I wore to London Fashion Week on Saturday, although I wore my disco pants instead of the skirt. Couldn't face putting them on today! Had a great day, met Zoe at the station and we made our way to #HPMLFW where we saw Anna and Jen. Later on saw Kate and Lily for the usual food and lolz. Think I'm going back tomorrow for my MAC appointment but nothing else really! Didn't apply for shows so definitely will when SS13 LFW rolls around..

PS. IT'S PANCAKE DAY TOMORROW!! No more needs to be said.

001. Saw this on the new in section the other day and before the day was up it was sold out! So jealous Anna got her mitts on one (and looked babelicious in it), I will track one down if it kills me!

002. I think I'm in love. I also think it's time I splurged on a designer bag, but a purse/wallet is a bit more attainable right now. Just unsure of which colour I like best - pebbled beige, oak or black. Decisions!

003. Ever wishing I could pull off bare legs and ankle socks. One day..

These are my absolute favourite eyelash curlers ever. I got my first pair in 2008/2009 I think, they say a pair lasts about a year but I only just got around to replacing them before Christmas. You also get an extra rubber pad for when the one already inside the curler wears out. I did find they lasted a while longer than I was told but after I while I decided to switch to some No7 curlers which was probably the biggest mistake in my makeup life! I don't want to badmouth the brand as I do like some of their products (namely mascaras) but the curlers just seem to want to rip my eyelashes out. They would often get stuck in the corners, always ending in a loss of lashes. Not good!

Having pretty straight but long lashes, there is not a day that goes by without these babies, and I feel stupid having gone without them for so long when I actually knew how good they were! They are super easy to use, feel 'soft' on your eyelashes and keep me looking wide-eyed all day, no matter what mascara I use. These are invaluable to me because if I don't use them, personally I can tell (either other people don't or they are too polite to say otherwise!). They retail at £20 but I got mine for £15 with P&P on via BuyaPowa. They have had them on there again since (and you can request certain items) so I would say it might be worth it to keep checking back on the site in case they get them again. I would happily pay £20 again in the future though as I love them so much!

What do you think of the Shu Uemura eyelash curlers? Do you have a different favourite eyelash curler, and how do they compare to these if you have tried them? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Anyone sick of these yet? Been to a few events recently and only taken my phone so thought I would just share some Instagram snaps from the past week or two. Seems to easiest way so sorry if you hate them!

Finally spotted the pink Central Line train (still wish I'd hopped on it), first soy milk hot chocolate - total convert, lovely sunglasses in UO, the most amazing Dune shoes, Next Hi Summer SS12 press day (and afternoon tea!), some lovely bits at the Missguided press day - thanks Sara! Unilever hair event (can't show you the products just yet so watch this space) fancy spa toilets and a naughty McDonald's with Lily after, bought both of those but can't decide if I should keep them (?), REALLY naughty Diner times with Kate, Lily and Victoria, IMATS 'press' badge, snow (!!) and the local dog that walks its other dog (!!!!), Beigel without a care in the world that it's freezing and still wanting to play outside, donning the Ralph Lauren snowboots for a day of pub lunches and hot drinks with my best friends, MUA and Love Hearts event (thanks Zozo!), Beigel being silly and rolling in the snow, Starbucks breakfast panini - not all that, dangerous combination and now we have Vans in at work I am really tempted to get a new pair..

Woke up to a huge box on my doorstep, which was surprisingly light and when I opened it a Valentine's gift arose from the cardboard, along with this jumper from MINKPINK! It's one of those things that is a bit weird and granny-like but at the same time I love it. My great aunt used to make blankets like this so I think that's what makes me love it so much. Didn't really know what to wear it with at first, but I think this look is pretty fail-safe! Will be nice when I can ditch the tights (super cosy ones from Primark!) when it gets warmer but that's just a distant dream for now..

Nothing else to say really. My Saturday has consisted of talking Beigel to the woods at the top of my road - the snow makes it look so beautiful, plus B likes to roll around in it (picture!). Seeing the pond frozen over made me sad for the animals though. Tonight is going to be spent sorting out my bombsite of a room! I know I say it all the time but I seriously need help, I have too much stuff and barely have the room to move about. Buy my stuff (please?)!

Sobsobsob, goodbye feelunique beauty box! I think I got an email the same day that the box arrived saying that the service was going to be closed indefinitely. Kinda gutted, it was probably my favourite sample box out of the three I receive. Must mean something when I still paid for this one despite getting the others free. C'est la vie! A 'new and improved service' is launching later on in the year though so I'm looking forward to what they can come up with next!

I think this is a really useful box. I love the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer after getting it in the November GlossyBox so another (generous) sample size is more than welcome. Hair oil (or in this case multi-use) is another thing that will always get used and is a perfect little size for on the go. I'm a bit wary of the Decleor stuff but my friend works in a salon where they stock the brand and swears by pretty much everything so I'm looking forward to giving it a go! The polish is okay, I haven't used it yet but the colour will make for a nice base. The hand/body wash smells lovely, and the little men's fragrance sample is going straight to my boyfriend as an extra Valentine's 'present'!

How do you feel about feelunique backing out of the sample box game (for now at least)? Do you think this is a sign of things to come? To be honest they don't really need the hassle of having a service like this, but because it was a secondary thing and they never needed to 'show off' with fancy full sizes etc. I feel like I preferred it..

Thought I would share what I got from IMATS last weekend as I like these kinds of posts (and am going to take a guess in that others want to peek at my stash too!). The main thing I went to buy was the Make Up For Ever HD Foundation and mascara, so far so good with those. The Illamasqua stand was amazing, I first got the blush and foundation (sadly the latter is a bit dark even though she said it would be perfect, waiting for summer..) first then went back a second time for the other stuff. I think everyone bought the cream blush in the end! I really like everything, although I'm yet to try the polish. If anyone wants reviews of any of this please let me know and I'll do a more in-depth post on anything specific. The brush set was given to all bloggers and press in a special lounge (as well as lots of yummy food and drinks - SO welcome) and are lovely. Surprisingly soft for synthetic brushes too!

Not really feeling these pictures at all. Oh well, something to share! Have wanted this shirt for so long now (way before Christmas!) and finally ordered it last week. Now that I have it though it's kinda hard to pair stuff with. I think it would look really nice with some high waisted jeans - which are in the wash - and my Ralph Lauren tan boots. Opted for a skirt with it today though and like I said I'm not 100%! Think this camel one pairs up better than a black pleather pleated skirt though. That said I do love the shirt and its little details! What do you think?

On my quest to find a nice pearly nail polish after my wishlist post I found a little shop in town selling cheap ones and picked up a few random shades. The pearly one is more of a topcoat so I'm wearing it over white polish. Not really a fan, so the hunt continues! Maybe OPI Kyoto Pearl if not the Chanel one? ~~Like I don't have enough polish..~~

How's everyone coping with the snow at the moment? Where I am it's mostly just slush now, which is good as I'm terrified of leaving my house when it's icy. I live on a slope so it's just a waiting game till I fall over!

001. Questionable design aside, I really want to try these! Saw Sabrina in them today and it confirmed it. Anything kitsch and babyish bodes well with me!

002. Total obsession right now with all things mermaid. Would fit in perfectly with Chanel's Spring/Summer campaign (even though they are using a pink for that).

003. Already have Viva Glam Gaga (the first one), already have Pink Friday. But still I feel like I need this! I saw a swatch the other day and it looks lovely. Never too many pink lipsticks in a girl's collection if you ask me.

Saw this in store with my mum and was drawn to it because it reminded me of Costa Chic by MAC, a lipstick I have always wanted to try but I am put off whenever I go to buy it because of the frost finish. This one was half the price though (and I had a something gifted that I had to exchange!) so within 5 minutes of spotting it it was mine!

Obviously I don't have Costa Chic so I can't vouch for it being an exact dupe but I do think it looks very similar from swatches I've seen online! Please correct me if I'm wrong though. They also both look different in different lights. Sometimes it leans more pink, others it's more orange. The frost is noticeable but not too offensive in my opinion.

Overall I'm really happy with this product and it just goes to show you can find hidden gems in unexpected places!

A bit of Disney action, drinks at the pub for my friend Steve's birthday (and thought I'd share his tattoo for any Potter fans out there!), Domino's feast, being a loner on the bus, falling for Chuck Bass on a weekly basis, playing it goth for uni, finally!!!! the peanut butter Kit Kat is back (hopefully for good - vote here!), too much writing, my friend Hayley had a baby last week (!), new dress, being a water baby, picked up some Vivienne Westwood lookalike wellies for £10 in Primark, wine and Katsu time with Kate and Lily followed by #zomgbloggersbash and a sleepover, obviously stopping at Nando's to revive ourselves today, and a fresh pair of boots (*) which I'm wearing indoors now before I go out in them! So cosy, now I need GG and a nap!

Got this month's edition in the post (and also some beautiful roses!) earlier this week and people have been asking me what was in it, so now I can spill the beans! It's a Valentine's Day themed box, all about pampering and preening yourself. I'm not sure it will live up to the December box in everyone's eyes but I can see myself getting use out of everything in this month's box (kinda rare for me!) and of course I like the fact that the box itself is bright pink.

I wasn't fussed about the eyeliner at first but now I really like the colour. It's a slightly darker, more muted version of Benefit's Eye Bright pencil which nice to use on the inner corners of the eyes and the waterline to appear more awake.

The cleansing nectar and moisturising balm are a bit of a new thing for me, they're both multi-use but I'll probably only use the nectar on my hair. The balm is designed to be washed off of your hair/skin, which I found quite strange! They have a weird scent too, not totally off-putting but I can't put my finger on it. Still going to use it though!

Not sure if there needed to be another body wash in the box but I look forward to using this. I've never used this brand before but some people had a product from them in the last box and it got my curiosity going.

The primer is a handy little size for my bag in case I'm staying somewhere, perfect for my makeup bag! It's flesh-coloured and at first I thought it would be too dark for me but after applying it just disappears! I like.

Overall I am pleased with this month's GlossyBox but not bowled over by it. What do you think?

Saw this post the other day and couldn't resist trying it out the same night! I recently had a dream that I dyed my hair red again like years ago and instantly hated it. I woke up with a wet pillow. Saying that I still wanted to try this because it's not really using 'proper' dye! And I can report that it all came out after one wash (two shampoos and a conditioning treatment). As it's a powder - and therefore dries your hair out - it does make hair appear a bit dead. I think my hair looks quite ratty in these pictures but I just think that adds to the whole 'grungy' feel of the look. Lolz.

Had to wear black with the hair so it didn't stain anything which isn't hard for me, about 30% of my wardrobe is just black! All the colours brightened it up a bit anyway. Spent yesterday mostly at the post office (where the woman was SO rude, ugh) and returning stuff to stores. Also ruined my life with a Pizza Hut buffet. Oh noez.

mac creme cup lipstick

Bought this lipstick recently when I ordered my Naked2 palette. I do like me a nice cremesheen formula, very moisturising with good colour payoff and a glossy finish. Perfect! I have quite pigmented lips I think, so a lot of nude pink shades look a bit weird on me but this lightens up the colour quite nicely! I usually apply it straight from the bullet then dab it with a (clean) finger. Nice for daytime or when I'm on the go and don't have a mirror to hand!

I've bought/received a few MAC lipsticks recently, so there are several other posts very similar to this one coming up. I hope nobody gets bored! Do you have a favourite MAC lipstick? Or any other lipstick for that matter?

Bought this jumper a few weeks ago now and haven't got around to wearing it. Partly because it's that awkward length (bought a 12, swapped for an 8 for a smaller fit and then didn't like it so fitted so got a 12 again) and I wasn't sure about what to wear it with. I just love it though, the colours remind me of a zap lolly from afar but all the shades are a lot brighter up close! It's just lovely and it's really soft too. May pair it with a white shirt underneath in future.

I have a dead arm right now from writing for 6 hours. Who said graphic design was all computer programs and paint? Pretty sure I never want to hear the phrase 'neocolonialism' ever again.

moroccanoil hair treatment

After wanting to try this product for what felt like forever, my Kerastase hair oil finally ran out a few weeks ago and I decided to try this one for a change. I don't find it as thick as my old one and it seems 'wetter' as silly as that sounds? I really love the smell of it though (quite manly but it's still nice!) and am enjoying using it. I don't really know if it's that different to the Kerastase one, I like both! I think all high end hair oils (not just cooking oils etc. because they make my hair smell funny) do pretty much the same job. Probably placebo effect but still! I do think the product is pricey but bear in mind a 125ml bottle lasted me well over a year, and that's without rationing it - I like to use it before I dry my hair, after I dry my hair and randomly throughout the day to smooth my hair down and just generally pamper it a bit. So overall I really like this product. It feels really luxe and makes my hair feel healthier as well as giving the ends some extra shine. I definitely recommend using a hair oil but it's totally up to you which one you choose (I also like the Macadamia one).

Lazy day today, making the most of the bad weather outside and getting stuff done. Which of course includes a couple of outfit posts as I'm back at uni now! Got this black velvet skater dress in the sale a few weeks ago, it's a size 6 and therefore it's also now a 'fat day' dress that will automatically help me to feel better when I don't feel so good! Paired it with my third crochet kimono (I got this one on eBay!) so I wasn't being too goffik in all black as always.

Was sent this cute arty-inspired ring last week. I love it but it seems to make my finger go purple. My fault for having sausage fingers I guess. Seriously why does it look so tight even though it doesn't feel it? Troll finger. Now time to go cry into some pudding with full fat custard. Or something. Zzzzz.

I've had a pair of standard hot pink Tweezerman tweezers for maybe 2 or 3 years. I dropped them too many times on my wooden floor though and they no longer grasped the hairs as brilliantly as before, so I asked for a new pair for Christmas. Then I came across this little set on ASOS and my heart decided these were the ones for me. You get a petite size slant tweezer and also a 'splinter tweezer' which is a pointy one.

I love how cute and girly these are and obviously how well they actually work as hair removal tools. Sure you can buy a normal pair of tweezers for a few pounds but these grip so well and there's a reason they are so popular! Even though I've never bought myself any I definitely would if it wasn't a Christmas/birthday. I have to be careful to not get too tweezer happy because I like using them so much!

Have you ever tried Tweezerman tweezers? How do you rate them? If not, would you want to?

It's been a while since I did one of these posts and I'm going to be pretty busy this week so may not get a chance to post. I like posting regularly and bringing something a little more personal to my blog.

Harrods Harry Potter shop, churros at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park, Beigel and his new harness, loving St. Tropez mousse, streamlined my makeup (sorta), braved my new creepers (*) outside of the house, catch ups with my bestie, shopping feels GOOD, new MacBook case finally came, total comfort food, amazing lunch at the new Miller & Carter in Lakeside, spent some more, still loving OPI Rainbow Connection so much, where I take my outfit photos, hating my short legs 4eva, addicted to Temple Run (score after 10 minutes), salad as a main (what's wrong with me?), sneaky changing room snap, my beloved sailor coat fresh from the dry cleaners, death by Chinese food, my meow meow shirt (worn here and here) and the cutest ring packaging. My life just looks really shallow and food-oriented now. Welp.

On a separate I was wondering if people would like to me integrate my graphic design work into this blog or maybe show it as more of a side thing. I'm not really sure what I'm going to do yet, as I have to blog for the self promotion part of my course. May just embed the other blog into this one somehow, so undecided!

benefit erase paste

I bought this last week with some points on my Debenhams Beauty Club card, so ended up costing me only £4.50! I've had one of these before and have been scraping the last remnants out of it for a while and saving it for special occasions. I don't know what made me so hesitant to fork out for another pot because I really like this product.

When it comes to dark circles under the eyes I need all the help I can get. I'm guessing it's hereditary because they've never gone away completely. At the moment though my sleeping pattern is a bit messed up so they are even worse than normal. Erase Paste is a thick, creamy concealer which reminds me of YSL Touche Eclat because of the luminosity but has a lot more density to it. It's not completely opaque, so I tend to use it over foundation or MAC Studio Finish to brighten the area rather than try to purely build coverage with it.

Because the product is so creamy it is prone to creasing and moving about so I like to set it with a light dusting of powder. I don't find it goes cakey at all when I do this either, which I wouldn't have expected before I tried it. It also reapplies well over powder in small amounts. I don't think it's the most portable product to be honest, I tend to throw the spatula away and just use a concealer brush to get product out and apply it. I don't like putting my fingers in the pot as my nails pick up more product than I'd like.

I haven't really bigged it up enough in this post I don't think, and I know a lot of people don't like it. I guess I'm just used to having to take many steps with my makeup to look a little more awake and a little less zombie! I'm always up for discovering new products which could help with dark circles so if you have any recommendations pop them in the comments below! Have you tried Erase Paste? What did you think if so?

Finally got some AA disco pants guyzzz! Someone sent me a 30% discount code the other day (thanks!) so I couldn't resist any longer. Was worried a size small wouldn't even go over my ankles but they fit like a dream! No regrets.

Got this top when I went shopping with my bestie last week (she is bad for me and makes me spend more money than I intend to). I love how mermaid-y it is, although it doesn't really photograph that well against my wall! One of those items that it totally better in real life, but looks rubbish and unflattering in pictures! You'll just have to believe me. Could have done with a smaller size really, the only one left was a 12! Still really like it though!

PS. I don't usually do this but I feel it totally necessary to share my new favourite blog with you all.. The Londoner. Look at her dog! Have bookmarked this post in a bid to eat better, but am really looking forward to making some slutty brownies and a manwich too (and I don't even like steak!). Ugh.. hungry just looking at it again. Superb!

Probably not the most exciting box in everyone's eyes but I'm quite happy with it! Everything in this month's box is skincare except one hair product. Usually I would call this lazy but after reading the card that comes with it, January should be all about treating your skin after the festive season and getting your glow back. Makes sense!

I really like the Lierac cream even though it's anti-aging (prevention is better than cure right?), it sinks into the skin well and the scent is quite nice. Not sure I will use the wrinkle smoother stuff yet, the fact that it says 'comfort peel' on the front worries me and makes me feel like it's going to be quite harsh. Still curious though!

The smell of the Caudalie body lotion is a little off-putting (generic 'mature' smell if you know what I mean!) but I do like the texture so I'll be using it of a night at home so my boyfriend doesn't have to sniff it.

I've not used the Phyto stuff yet but I'm really looking forward to doing so as I've heard lots of good things. I don't consider my hair to be coloured anymore since having it dyed to its natural colour well over a year ago but where it's faded to a blonder shade I guess it might need a little bit of care in that aspect!

The cleanser smells very 'green' which would explain the brand name, probably going to keep this in my bag for when I stay over at my boyfriend's. Easier than taking my Cleanse & Polish and having to leave a soggy muslin cloth there!

Got the salt brushing before in the September GlossyBox but I enjoyed using it so I don't mind getting some more. I feel this is one of the brands that has been really 'overdone' in the beauty box game, I think I've seen it appear in about 3 or 4 separate months of various boxes! Nice but not really anything new after a while.

Overall I am pleased with this box, some people might be disappointed with no makeup but personally I have more than enough cosmetics so they won't be missed this month! What are your views on the feelunique beauty box?
